Sourced entirely from a single plot of 100 year old vines grown on a limestone/clay soil. Grapes are harvested at the optimum time in order to ensure concentration of flavour as well as a fine aromatic expression. Natural yeasts undertake a long, slow fermentation in order to allow maximum expression of the terroir. Maturation for 12 months in tank on the fine lees brings added richness and ageing ability. A fine, classic Macon Villages bouquet with aromatic tones of pear, white flowers and a touch of exotic fruits. Gentle, creamy and yet perfectly balanced with a telling cut of fresh acidity and a trace of minerality. Alive, pure and seamless. Low sulphur.

Picpoul grapes

A clear pale yellow colour, this wine looks like summer in a glass. On the nose it has fresh green apple aromas coupled with scents of gooseberry, stone fruits and meadow grass. This is followed up on the palate with refreshing flavours of crisp green apple and ripe nectarine. The wine has a nice mineral aspect that is pursued by a generous citrus acidity. It is perfect on its own over a long lunch although it would also sit well with seafood and light chicken dishes.

This wine does it all: No Added Sulphur, organic, fair trade and vegan friendly, but it's more than just a box-ticker. This 100% Colombard is only made in the best vintages (so get it while you can!) and shows a lovely wild flower and honey nose and real tangy freshness on the finish. It has a deeper colour than one would expect in such a young wine, which is because sulphur has a bleaching effect on the colour of 'normal' wines.
