Full time Packing Team Member

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for delivery. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and a commitment to maintaining quality control throughout the packing process.

The role entails:

  • handling & packing organic fruits & vegetables, accurately and efficiently
  • using our computer systems to produce pick lists and labels
  • loading & unloading deliveries
  • maintaining a clean & organised warehouse & adhering to Food Safety standards
  • performing some heavy lifting duties, as required

We are looking for someone who:

  • is self-motivated, works independently, systematically & accurately
  • pays care & attention to detail and is able to recognise good quality products
  • is able to drive a delivery van, as, there will be regular driving shifts
  • is able to complete the range of physical tasks required in our busy & lively warehouse (lifting 25kg)

Ideally you should have prior warehouse experience and be familiar with a range of warehouse procedures, such as:

  • picking & packing, loading & unloading goods
  • breaking down pallets of produce
  • packing & delivering large and small orders to our lovely wholesale customers

Duties

  • accurately pick and pack products according to order specifications
  • perform quality control checks to ensure all items meet company standards before dispatch
  • handle materials safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting as required
  • maintain an organised workspace, adhering to warehouse management system protocols
  • collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipping and receiving of products
  • operate forklifts,if certified and use other warehouse equipment safely

Qualifications:

  • previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred
  • ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical work for extended periods
  • familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous
  • knowledge of quality control practices within a warehouse setting is beneficial
  • a proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Bakery assistant, Part time 3 days per week

8.5 hours per day

£12/hr with potential to increase to £12.50/hr following successful training and probation period

Our Bakery here at Watson & Pratts produces amazing sourdough bread, delicious cakes, pastries and other baked goods and we are looking for a new team member, to be part of our thriving and expanding bakery.

We are based in the rural market town of Lampeter, West Wales and cater for our two amazing shops, local businesses and Home Delivery customers, providing a range of high standard products, which are renowned in the locality and beyond.

Our team currently consists of energetic, food loving bakers and bakery assistants, who work closely to produce our speciality sourdough, delicious pastries, and other baked goods.

We are looking for someone, with kitchen experience, who loves our product and who wants to work in a high-paced bakery environment.

If you are keen to learn, would be committed to the role, have a positive attitude and enthusiasm for our products and ethos, are meticulous, with an attention to detail, and want to be part of our hard-working team, then we would love to hear from you.

Do you have what it takes? We need someone who can:

  • be on our rota for early shifts starting at 4.00am
  • work 3 days per week including Saturdays
  • provide holiday cover when required
  • work consistently, respond to direction & follow systems
  • work closely with our bakers and bakery cleaner, to make our high-quality product
  • work diligently to maintain our high hygiene standards & keep a clean and tidy workspace
